The Best (and easiest!!!) Homemade Pizza Sauce (Never Buy Pizza Sauce Again)

Oh my gosh. Why haven't I done this sooner??? Why have I been paying extra money for pre-made pizza sauce??

I have to admit, pizza is one of my favorite foods. Like, ever. I usually pass on dairy, but when it comes to pizza I have a tough time passing any pizza up!

Pizza night has almost become a weekly thing as of late. And I prefer to make it homemade. So a few weeks ago I was having a serious pizza craving and realized I hadn't purchased any pizza sauce. I figured I could wing it and whip some up with what I had on hand. A quick google search led me to one of my favorite blogs, Minimalist Baker. I know I can always trust Dana's recipes. I found that she has a super simple recipe for pizza sauce using just tomato sauce or paste along with a few spices. That's it! I made her pizza sauce recipe and I haven't bought pizza sauce since! I mean, why would you?? For the full recipe, click here: Minimalist Baker's Pizza Sauce.

One 6 oz can of tomato paste (mixed with a little water to desired thickness) OR 12 oz can of tomato sauce

1/2 tsp each of dried basil, oregano, garlic powder, and sugar

1/4 tsp of salt

Mix all ingredients and voila! Pizza sauce that will cost you less than $1.00 per pizza!

*Note: I like my sauce thick so I typically use tomato paste with a splash of water and maybe a very small drizzle of olive oil

  1. I also make pizza sauce at home.Don't like ready made pizza sauce,it sometimes smells stingy.Anyways I will definitely try your recipe og pizza sauce too.

  2. Therefore, it is better to buy the kitchen case, selection engine, pot, drain, touch and different kitchen addition products together, that may not just save yourself time and energy (in a feeling, it's still another way of preserving money) but can also acquire the very best reductions from the vendors.
