At work, I had a mid-morning snack which was a handful of almonds.
Lunch was Amy's tofu breakfast burrito, honey wheat pretzels, an apple, and dark chocolate.
Luckily, I got off work in time to meet my friend for our first (at this box) Crossfit class. I always like to have something in my stomach before a workout to avoid low blood sugar. I carry lots of bars in my purse for my pre-workout snack. Today it was a Clif Bar!
I wasn't sure what to expect at our first Crossfit class. However, I did expect to have my butt kicked! Our WOD was 5 rounds for time - a 400 meter run and 15 ball slams. I used a 20lb ball. Before we started the WOD, we did a warm up that consisted of jumping jacks, no cheat push-ups, squats, lunges, arm stretches, and leg swings. Oh, and there was a set of 20 burpees thrown in there because it was discovered that someone put the weights back wrong! I finished the WOD in 17 ish minutes. It was really challenging, but I felt like I needed to work out more?!?! My friend and I decided to add on a 3 miler after Crossfit. We are going 2 more times this week and I'm anxious to see how the other WODs are.
When I got home from working out, I was hungry so I cut up an apple to eat with some PB and Co peanut butter!!
Then we had one of my favorite dinners as of late! Avocado, cilantro, and garbanzo bean sandwiches. YUM! I made a huge salad and nuked a sweet potato for sharing.
